Giant kelp provides food and shelter for a vibrant ecosystem.

Look closely and you'll discover an astonishing diversity of fish and invertebrates swimming in our Kelp Forest exhibit and clinging to the kelp and algae.

Listen to live audio of our Kelp Forest feeding program and watch divers hand-feed sharks, fishes and other animals. If you're lucky, a wolf-eel will emerge to gulp some squid or fish.

Five Feisty Fish!

Our Kelp Forest exhibit is home to five bright orange garibaldis. These territorial fish can be aggressive if they feel their space is being invaded, but these five have enough room to coexist without ruffling each other's fins.
